🥑🍅Avocado on Wholemeal Toast, Mushrooms and Grilled Balsamic Tomatoes🥑🍅Another one of my favourite brunches! When choosing my toast, I tend to switch between sourdough and wholemeal bread🍞While both can be beneficial for the gut microbiome, wholemeal bread is a great source of nutrients and fibre (due to the bran of the grain not being removed during the milling process)🌱. Evidence shows that eating wholegrains regularly promotes health and may also reduce the risk of many diseases, such as bowel cancer and T2 diabetes 🤗 Although the wholemeal bread and nutritional yeast (mixed into the smashed avocado) provide 8g of protein, you could add baked beans or tofu to make this a more balanced and satisfying plate 🍽
